GS, GS and SE Sport models come with a 2.4 liter four cylinder with 162 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque produced. The GS comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission, while a four-speed automatic is optional. The car is standard on the GS and SE Sport. Fuel economy EPA estimates that both the transmission is 20 mpg city/28 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined.
All Mitsubishi Eclipse models have dual-stage front airbags, front airbags, side and curtain airbags are standard. Other safety features such as Active Stability Control, the logic of the emergency brake; ABS system and Monitoring System Tire Pressure are also standard. All models except the GS have a security camera screen standard with the rearview mirror.
